About Jehnifer

Naturally adventurous, I find myself yearning for a new journey each day. Perhaps this is due to my nomadic start in life. I was born in New York (Long Island) and moved to sunny Florida when I was only a few years old. Not long after that I found myself making the cross country trek to Arizona with my mom, brother, and two parakeets. From that point on, I fell in love with the mountains but never forgot the ocean. Through out my adolescent years I would make frequent trips to both Florida and California. I even fulfilled entire summers working and living away from home. My first internship was spent working at the beautiful Aquarium on the Pacific in Long Beach. The most recent was at the Dolphin Research Center in Grassy Key, Fl.

I’ve had the unique opportunity of becoming familiar with several of America’s great biotic communities. From the everglades, infamous chain of islands and East and West coasts of Florida to the complex Deserts and Forests of Arizona, I absorb every bit of it like a sponge. I continue to unravel the mysteries of these systems at Arizona State University where I am in my final year as an Applied Biology student. When I graduate I plan to continue my work with sustainability and policy making. I have future plans of obtaining a masters degree but that adventure has yet to become clear. If I can find a way to combine my love for animals and the outdoors with my passion for sustainability, rest assured, I will!
